We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E/I) Technician to join a busy manufacturing site.

Key responsibilities include

Responding to plant breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving electrical and instrumentation faults.

Installing, maintaining and repairing 415V AC motors and associated control equipment.

Installing, commissioning and maintaining safety, control and measurement systems, including level, pressure and temperature instrumentation.

Carrying out calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems in accordance with maintenance procedures.

Maintaining hazardous area electrical equipment in line with DSEAR regulations.

Completing general electrical installation work, including lighting systems and cable management.

Recording maintenance activities accurately and ensuring equipment history is kept up to date.

Updating electrical and control drawings where required..

About You

The successful candidate will have

A time-served apprenticeship or recognised qualification in an Electrical and/or Instrumentation discipline.

Experience working within a manufacturing, chemical, process or industrial environment.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with a systematic approach to identifying root causes.

The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing business needs.

The ability to complete planned and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales.

Experience using the following systems would be advantageous

SAP (or a similar CMMS) for maintenance management and equipment history.

Beamex CMX (or equivalent calibration software).

Electrical and control drawing databases.

Microsoft Office.
