Vibe Care are seeking, for their client, an experienced Children's Service Team Leader based in Belper Derbyshire. We are looking for an experienced team leader (Deputy Manager) in residential care of children in a therapeutic trauma informed care home (EBD). Working in a brand-new, purpose-built therapeutic residential home designed to provide a safe and nurturing sanctuary for up to four young people. Currently living in the home are three young people aged 15-16 years.
You will draw on your experience in children's residential care and your strong understanding of trauma-informed practice to guide, coach and inspire your team. Your leadership will ensure that every child receives consistent, high-quality care rooted in empathy, structure and positive connection.
This is a temporary position for 37 hours per week - Starting 03/08/2026 - 26/10/2026 with a possible extension.
Job Responsibilities:- Providing day-to-day direction to the team.
- Ensuring best practice, and promoting a culture of reflection, learning and emotional safety.
- Overseeing individual care plans to ensure each young person's needs, strengths and goals are understood and supported through thoughtful planning and therapeutic approaches.
- Promoting positive relationships by nurturing trust with children, families and professionals to create a strong network around each young person.
- Maintaining safeguarding and wellbeing to the highest standards of safety, compliance and emotional care using expertise and the confidence to act decisively to protect young people.
- Providing supervision, feedback and opportunities for continuous professional growth to promote staff development.
- Team leaders work shifts including 20% on shift time and Admin time including evenings and weekends.
- Proven employment experience in a similar role.
- Experience in supporting children & young people.
- Must hold L3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Team teach trained.
- Valid Child & Adult DBS on the update service.
