The predicted salary is between 37350 - 45650 Β£ per year.
A great opportunity is now available for an experienced Inspector of precision engineered/machined components. You will take ownership of quality control from incoming materials through to final delivery - dimensional inspection, NCR management, corrective/preventive actions and ISO 9001 compliance. You'll liaise directly with customers and suppliers. This role will provide a path to progress into a full Quality Management role.
The key responsibilities include:
- In-Process inspection (During Manufacture)
- Use of Programmable and Manual CMM inspection
- Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001
- Overseeing goods in/out inspection
- Raising and investigating NCRs with implementation of corrective/preventive measures
- Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review
- Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation
Key skills and experience:
- Previous CMM inspection experience
- A knowledge and experience of CNC Machining with an 'Inspection' background.
- You will be fully familiar with, and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to speak with customers and suppliers, when required.
- You will be able to work well in a team environment and have the necessary 'people skills' to develop and improve the quality culture of the business, having confidence and a discerning judgment on when to raise issues, improvements.
