An opportunity is now available for an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join a manufacturer of high quality, specialist equipment. Based at the company's modern and well-equipped facility in Witney, the successful candidate will work within a small team and be responsible for the manufacture of a variety of components and associated tooling.
- Setting 4 axis horizontal CNC mills
- Operating the equipment effectively, ensuring that the machine tools are working to the required standards.
- Ensure machines are correctly loaded and that the appropriate CNC program is being executed.
- Monitor tool life and adjust/change tools as necessary to the required specification to maintain component quality and tool longevity.
- Remove swarf, deburr for safe handling and de-water parts after machining.
- Engrave parts as required by Production Order.
- Maintain effective housekeeping of machine tool.
Experience in setting and operating CNC, proficiency in a range of measuring equipment and inspection, and experience in producing high quality close tolerance machined components is required. Experience of working with quality is also essential.
