Estimator Up to £50,000 plus company pension, bonus and company vehicle Swindon Are you an Estimator with experience of working in the Civil Engineering / Rail infrastructure sector? We are recruiting for a hands on Estimator to join an industry leading company in Swindon. This is a great opportunity to be part of an expanding commercial team as the company continues to grow into 2025. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial process from the administration to the management of Rail frameworks and Infrastructure contracts. Duties and responsibilities: Estimating all project life-cycle stages, concepts, study and detailed designs. Preparing comprehensive bids and tender submissions within the required deadlines. Preparing detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, overheads and subcontractor services for all projects. Conducting take-offs and quantity surveys from drawings calculating material and labour costs. Producing subcontractor enquiry schedule, obtaining suggestions/feedback from the tender team, procurement department and contractor schedules. Preparing full project estimates from conceptual design and prepare estimate reports. Fostering internal and external relationships with staff, clients, engineers, stakeholders and attend meetings. Conducting ongoing market research on current costs of material, rates and trends within the industry and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers. You will need experience in rail networks and infrastructure in an ideal scenario. This is a permanent role with excellent variation and scope for future progression as the team continues to expand.
