The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electronic Production Technician to join a growing production team. You'll be responsible for assembling, testing and maintaining electronic products to a high standard, supporting the manufacture of quality equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components, PCBs, wiring looms and control panels from engineering drawings.
- Carry out soldering, cable preparation, crimping and mechanical assembly.
- Build prototypes and support new product introductions.
- Perform functional testing, fault finding and calibration of electronic assemblies.
- Use a range of test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
- Complete production records and quality documentation accurately.
- Work to ISO 9001 standards, company procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, organised work area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with production planning when required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong soldering and electronic assembly skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Experience using electronic test equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- NVQ Level 2/3, BTEC or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (HNC/HND advantageous).
