We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator to join an Investors in People Gold awarding winning, national manufacturer in Romsey. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with an employer of choice in the local area.

As Purchasing Administrator you will support the Supply Chain Manager with the day-to-day tactical purchasing of goods and services to ensure continuity of supply and achieve set targets.

Your duties will be:

  • Planning, developing, evaluating and implementing processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit.
  • Interpreting purchase requests and documents to coordinate purchasing activities for the organisation\’s demand for goods and services.
  • Understanding and managing risks to minimise impact on organisational needs.
  • Taking follow up actions in relation to material shortages.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensuring Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) data accuracy.
  • Monitoring inventory levels against agreed target, support inventory checks to validate accuracy.
  • Minimising obsolete stock to ensure minimum liability to the business.

Relationship Management

  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work with multifunctional teams and stakeholders across the business.
