A well-established manufacturer of high quality, specialist equipment, have a requirement for a skilled Quality Inspector, who will be a key member within the Quality Team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Goods-In inspections, ensuring all incoming materials comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and required material certification in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supporting non-conformance in goods in inspection and generating NCR documentation.
  • Perform routine patrol inspections across Production, Manufacturing, and Assembly areas to verify process conformance, product quality, and adherence to company standards.
  • Compile and generate complete certification packs for stainless-steel high-pressure filtration assemblies, ensuring all documentation meets internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage and maintain calibration activities for measurement equipment across all sites, including coordination of third-party inspection services, performing in-house calibrations, and producing calibration reports and records.
  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean, process improvements).
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to audit readiness.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience of working within an inspection or production environment.
  • Ability to use standard metrology equipment in the correct application, including but not limited to: Callipers, Bore Micrometres, Height Gauge, Surface Plate, Pin gauges etc.
  • Experience with administration work and using Microsoft Office/PDF software.
  • Calibration Management experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend Engineering drawings.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • A working knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP system.
  • Shadowgraph/CMM/Form tracer/Surface tester experience.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
