We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join a popular, expanding manufacturer in Blackwood. The company in question has benefitted from recent investment and you will have the chance to work on a variety of modern machinery.

As Site Engineer you will:

  • Be responsible for supporting all site Engineering and Maintenance requirements.
  • Support in achieving maximum effectiveness of machinery and equipment, by minimising downtime and supporting the effective operation of the PPM system.
  • Complete required documentation and services reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance to Health & Safety and environment legislation and adapt safe working practices at all times.
  • Provide technical advice to problem solving and innovative solutions.
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Engineer to ensure that the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved for the needs of the business. This includes the provision and use of services on which the business depends (gas, water, electricity, compressed air) and the environment.

You will need to:

  • Be able to demonstrate your multi-skilled engineering expertise through time served experience and qualifications.
  • Draw on previous experience within a similar role and within a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Be an excellent trouble-shooter with the ability to resolve problems effectively, and within a cost-effective manner / within budget.
  • Fault find on PLC/Invertors and read / follow electrical / pneumatic diagrams.
