Vibe Recruit is working on behalf of a well-established and fast-growing business based in Newport, as they look to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of live projects, working closely with site teams, clients, subcontractors and in-house design and development teams. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard. The role is hands-on and site-focused, offering autonomy, variety and the chance to make a real impact within a business that is continuing to grow.

The Role

  • Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, estimates and tender documentation
  • Procure, negotiate with and manage subcontractors and suppliers
  • Control project costs, including variations, valuations and final accounts
  • Produce monthly cost reports, valuations and financial forecasts
  • Carry out regular site visits, working closely with site teams to ensure projects remain on track
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate design teams, contractors and delivery partners
  • Support the successful delivery of multiple projects across the company's live sites

The Person

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager within the construction sector (shopfitting experience is highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of cost management, tendering, contracts and post-contract processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
  • Willing to travel to live sites across key regions
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Relevant construction or commercial qualifications
