We are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join an employer of choice in the Swansea area. As a Production Planner you will:

  • Be responsible for the creation, monitoring and optimising of the Master Production Schedules taking into account key elements such as forecast demand, production costs, inventory costs, lead times, capacity, inventory levels and scheduling of raw material.
  • Contribute to and manage the output from the monthly Sales Demand Review into a workable Production Plan.
  • Identify and implement changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and report departmental KPI's and drive improvement in the KPI's which you have influence over.
  • Monitor progress against plan, make and communicate team plan and Master plan changes, to facilitate on-time delivery to customers.
  • Develop a robust process to schedule raw materials to ensure that adequate material is available for production without the risk of overstocking expensive inventory.
  • Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory and play an important role in managing and improving performance against inventory levels and targets.
  • Investigate, recommend, and implement new or improved production planning methods, processes and systems to increase manufacturing efficiency.

You will need to be competent in preparing reports, undertaking presentations, managing time, contributing to and leading meetings.
