We are currently recruiting for a Light Vehicle Mechanic to work for an industry leading firm in Cardiff. This role is key to maintaining their growing fleet of cars, pick up trucks and 3.5 tonne vans.
As the Light Vehicle Mechanic you will be responsible for vehicle maintenance and repair.
Key duties:
- Performing routine servicing and preventive maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, etc.).
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Inspecting and repairing braking systems, suspension, steering, and other essential components.
- Conducting wheel alignments and balancing.
- Replacing or repairing tyres, batteries, and other consumable parts.
- Using diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Interpreting error codes and recommend repair solutions.
- Testing repaired vehicles to ensure issues are resolved.
This is a permanent role with great scope for growth. There is potential to be trained and developed to work on lorries and articulated vehicles going forward as the role develops. This is a permanent role with excellent overtime availability.
