Are you an experienced Environmental and Sustainability professional with a strong background in construction? Are you looking for a highly varied, interesting role where you will have the chance to support the delivery of environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and ESG performance across a diverse portfolio of construction projects? We are currently recruiting for an Environmental and Sustainability professional to join a Cardiff based construction company that can boast an excellent reputation. As Environmental and Sustainability Co-ordinator you will:
- Lead and coordinate BREEAM delivery across multiple construction projects
- Manage, review, and submit BREEAM evidence to appointed Assessors
- Track BREEAM credits, risks, and responsibilities throughout project lifecycles
- Maintain structured, auditable records and evidence files
- Conduct site inspections to ensure BREEAM compliance and environmental best practice
- Support delivery of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
- Ensure compliance with planning conditions, environmental permits, and legislation
- Carry out site audits and environmental inspections
- Support ongoing development and compliance of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
- Contribute to the company's Environmental & Sustainability Strategy
- Support initiatives around: Carbon reduction and net zero targets, Waste minimisation and resource efficiency, Sustainable materials and procurement
- Provide guidance to project teams on BREEAM, sustainability, and environmental compliance
- Stay up to date with BREEAM standards, environmental legislation, and industry best practice
You will need proven experience delivering BREEAM projects from Design Stage through to Post Construction and a background within Main Contractor, Subcontractor, or a Construction Consultancy.
