Business Development Manager
A high performing, respected business with ambitious expansion plans, now requires an experienced Business Development Manager, to help drive the business forward, to the next level.
The organisation is part of a group of companies, with a global footprint, supplying a range of industries including construction, utilities, rail and aviation.
Key Focus
To drive sales growth and market penetration of products by identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing key accounts, and collaborating with marketing and technical teams to increase product visibility and value across the UK and selected international markets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and generate new business leads within construction, maintenance, facilities management, and industrial sectors.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, including contractors, site managers, safety officers, and procurement teams.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations, site visits, and technical consultations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and attend relevant trade shows and industry events.
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and market intelligence to senior management.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience from order to delivery.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in construction or safety equipment.
- Strong commercial awareness and consultative sales approach.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel nationwide.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of working-at-height regulations and safety standards.
