We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join a fast-paced and dynamic transport operation. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the efficient planning and execution of daily transport activities.
Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:- Planning and scheduling vehicles and drivers to meet operational requirements
- Monitoring transport activity to ensure on-time and efficient deliveries
- Managing driver hours and ensuring compliance with transport legislation
- Handling any issues or delays and implementing effective solutions
- Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Maintaining accurate records and using transport planning systems effectively
- Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics role
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a time-critical environment
- Good knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance
- Strong communication and IT skills
