About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Purchasing Manager to lead their procurement function and strengthen overall supply chain performance. This key position focuses on Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis, cost control, and strategic sourcing, ensuring suppliers deliver on time and in full (OTIF). The successful candidate will develop a robust and reliable supply chain, build strong supplier partnerships, and position the business as a customer of choice. This is a hands-on leadership role offering the opportunity to make a real impact on operational performance and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end purchasing process - sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and order execution.
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods and services in line with company standards.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, conduct evaluations, and identify new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
- Monitor and analyse PPV across all categories, implementing cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present procurement performance reports to senior management.
- Set, review, and achieve KPIs for cost, quality, and delivery while driving a 'right first time' culture.
- Lead and develop a team of three, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
