About the Team: VIAVI AI RSG is a city-scale digital twin of a mobile network. It simulates hundreds of cell sites and thousands of connected devices with realistic radio behaviour over O-RAN E2 and O1 interfaces, letting customers create and execute events and scenarios that would be impossible on a physical network. As an Engineer on the VIAVI AI RSG team, you'll help build and extend the platform's core technologies: A REST framework and React-based UI powering the product. Our own SDK (ADK) for rApp/xApp development. An AI Expert LLM built directly into the product for natural-language querying, scenario creation, and analysis. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real features from day one while building a strong foundation in distributed systems, network simulation, and modern web development. Looking ahead, there's also room to grow into cutting-edge areas like GPU-accelerated simulation, ray tracing, and AI/ML model development. Undergrad or Graduate Degree from an accredited university in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree. Experience with C/C++, Python, Windows or Linux Operating Systems, exposure to networking protocols (TCP/IP, 802.11, Bluetooth).Experience of software development environments and associated tooling. Some engineering related experience outside of the classroom environment like an internship/Co-Op, hackathon, research project, or related experience. Capability to quickly adapt to new projects and changing priorities when needed. Ability/Desire to work on a temporary assignment in another country/location.
