A Financial Analyst Trainee is to support the commercial and non-commercial organisation in Revenue and Expense management providing detailed analysis of expenses, revenue, rebates and overheads to assist senior managers. Training contract towards a professional accounting qualification.
Support OPEX planning and tracking, including preparation of budgets and forecasts for SG&A cost areas. Assist in monitoring monthly spend vs Budget / Forecast, highlighting key variances and preparing initial commentary. Partner with teams to collect and validate financial and operational data. Support revenue and gross margin analysis. Prepare standard financial reports in line with Regional and Corporate requirements. Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations, ensuring data accuracy and clarity. Support month-end close activities, including accruals, provisions, and basic reconciliations. Contribute to process improvements and reporting enhancements, particularly within OPEX tracking. General financial accounting such as journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and provisions. Coordinate the general ledger and reconciliations. Provide ad hoc analysis and support for finance and commercial projects.
About Your Skills & Experience
- Graduate of Bachelors/Master degree from finance or similar study.
- Willing to study for a professional accounting qualification.
- Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills and experience.
- Knowledge of other Microsoft Office packages.
- Presentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of SAP.
- Knowledge and experience of Hyperion.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently but also a strong team player.
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage own time effectively and work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate to non-finance professionals.
