The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Pharmacovigilance Officer role will make an impact:
- Ensuring pharmacovigilance obligations are consistently and adequately considered for all new/updated/terminated business relationships between Viatris and Business Partners.
- Reviewing contractual business agreements (“Main Agreements”) and determining whether inclusion of Pharmacovigilance language is required and, if yes, whether a standalone Pharmacovigilance Agreement (PVA) is needed.
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders (e.g., Business Development, Legal Department, Affiliates, Regional Management, Regulatory Affairs) to ensure that PVAs or Pharmacovigilance language will be established for relevant Main Agreements.
- Negotiating PVAs with Business Partners and ensuring that all relevant changes to the standard text will be approved by the responsible functions at PSRM and the Legal Department.
- Supporting the development and updating of procedures, templates, tools and systems used for the implementation and oversight of PVAs.
- Supporting the maintenance of the PVA database and retrieval of information when required.
- Collaborating with relevant functions within PSRM to support effective and timely solutions/responses to compliance issues/questions including audit/inspection findings.
- Maintaining inspection and audit readiness via electronic maintenance and retention of PVAs.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a health or life science-related background.
- 1-3 years’ experience in the Pharmacovigilance field.
- Experience with drafting, negotiating and executing Pharmacovigilance Agreements (“PVA”).
- Understanding on the different types of PVA relationships/set-ups.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to organize work in a logical, thorough, and succinct manner.
- Good command of the English language.
- Knowledge of good documentation practice and quality management systems.
- Broad knowledge of worldwide PV regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and ability to effectively prioritise.
- Good communication skills.
- Computer proficient (Windows, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
