Overview

We’re looking for a backend-focused Software Engineer I to join our fast‑growing, distributed Experiences Engineering team. The role is primarily backend, with occasional front‑end work. The team collaborates closely with product managers and designers, and we release code to production every few days.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services for viator.com and mobile apps.
  • Collaborate with front‑end and dev‑ops teams to integrate new features.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit and integration testing, and deployment.
  • Work in an AWS environment using Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

  • Experience with a statically typed, object‑oriented language such as Java, C#, or C++.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
