Job Purpose
The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, and troubleshooting of network security solutions for customers primarily using Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Check Point, and Juniper security products within our Cyber division. The role involves working as part of a technical team delivering security projects, operational support, and security improvements across multiple customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support network security solutions across customer environments.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, and Juniper firewalls.
- Perform firewall rule reviews, policy optimisation, and security hardening.
Support VPN technologies including IPsec and SSL VPN. - Assist with network security incidents and troubleshooting.
- Work with customers to gather requirements and implement security solutions.
- Participate in change management processes.
- Produce technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for network security issues.
- Work collaboratively within a team supporting multiple customers.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, F5, Check Point, and Juniper SRX firewalls.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, routing, VPNs).
- Troubleshooting complex network and firewall issues.
- Experience in customer-facing or managed services environments.
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
