Responsibilities
- The team works closely with the leadership to define and track the execution of Viasat’s international government strategy, focusing on new growth opportunities identification, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategies for defense and government connectivity solutions.
- We analyze global trends, assess competitive landscapes, and develop actionable strategies that enable Viasat to remain competitive.
- The candidate will gain experience in market intelligence, competitive analysis, and strategic planning, while collaborating with senior leadership and influencing high-impact business outcomes.
- The candidate will leverage analytical skills to interpret market data, identify trends, and generate insights that inform strategy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills will be essential for presenting recommendations to executives and collaborating across sales, product, and business intelligence teams.
Responsibilities – Day-to-Day Focus
- The candidate will spend time analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and internal performance data to produce actionable insights.
- Key actions include preparing intelligence reports, analyzing competitors’ trends, building forecasting models, quantifying market opportunities, and collaborating with Sales, Product, and Business Intelligence teams to align priorities.
- The candidate will contribute to strategic planning sessions and respond to ad-hoc intelligence requests from senior leadership.
- This role combines research, data interpretation, and strategic thinking with high visibility and impact on business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience in market research, strategy or competitive and market analysis (minimum 5 years).
- Solid understanding of market research methodologies and competitive analysis frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, BI, or similar).
- Strong ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to produce actionable insights.
- Familiarity with Business analysis platforms.
