What you'll do
People, Brand, & Culture (PB&C) - is the people business of ViaSat. The Talent Acquisition team is an innovative change catalyst. Put simply: we attract, engage, and grow leaders with a focus on improving with every new hire and enhancing the human potential of our employees. This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Employee position.
The day-to-day
- Our recruiters are responsible for elevating Viasat's talent bar by working to hire top quality technical and non-technical professionals across the organization.
- This person will communicate Viasat's competitive advantage and value proposition for potential candidates and use the most recent market data and critical thinking to support innovative talent attraction strategies.
- This role reports to the Recruiter Lead - EMEA & APAC.
Below are the key expectations of this role:
- Manage consistent recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes that support a superior candidate and hiring manager experience (strategy sessions, interview team prep, debrief sessions, offer analysis, offer negotiation and structured interview model).
- Evaluate technical aptitude and screen candidates for both technical and behavioral fit using thorough knowledge of technology industry landscape, diversity recruiting and market trends.
- Prepare and deliver updates to inform key stakeholders on the progress of key recruitment initiatives and hiring metrics.
- Partner with Viasat's Employer Branding team to develop branding and marketing campaigns and strategies that position Viasat as an Employer of Choice among the markets most critical and sought-after talent.
- Champion fair and equitable focus throughout the end-to-end recruiting process (intake, posting, attraction/posting strategy, interview, assessment, selection and offer).
- Represent Viasat at various career forums and events to engage with potential candidates and strategic partners.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of Talent Acquisition recruiting in an agency or corporate setting.
- Bachelor's Degree in business, psychology or a related field.
- Experience recruiting and assessing technical engineering talent.
- Experience bringing to bear market and competitor analysis to define and implement effective, multi-prong talent strategies, assessments and closing approaches in support of regional and global hiring, specifically in EMEA and the United States.
- Experience building effective methods to attract talent using job platforms, social media channels, professional associations, and networking affiliations.
- Extensive rigor and experience with regards to data hygiene; analyzing and reporting funnel metrics.
- Expertise in compliance and privacy standards as well as knowledge and understanding of the relevant employment laws, practices and hiring policies.
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think logically and independently.
- Experience with recruiting technology (ATS, CRM) primarily on Workday and iCIMS.
- Valid work authorization with no company sponsorship required.
- Travel less than 10%.
