What you’ll do
- Manage on site warehouse and inventory, review import/export documentation, forwarding and invoicing instructions based upon the customer or partner profile to ensure that products are exported in a timely manner with proper documentation to the receiving party and in compliance with all governmental regulations.
- Analyze the strategic savings opportunities through system tools in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing: Receive, verify, and process shipping orders using inventory management systems. Prepare shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, and labels.
- Freight Handling: Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage. Coordinate with carriers and drivers for pickups and deliveries.
- Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize freight. Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory movement. Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
- Site Security: Responsible for keeping the records of visitors and contractors for audit purposes. Responsible for security patrol, fire alarms evacuation.
- Participate in the development of new services and systems, continuously look for ways to improve workflow and ensure the supply chain systems are on a continuous path to improvement.
- Communicate with peers and supervisors regularly, document work, meetings, and decisions.
- Assist management and logistics managers in the development of procedures and processes which improve Viasat’s ability to meet product system and customer requirements.

What you’ll need
- Educated to A-level or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., data entry, shipping software).
