This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑paced and growing organisation. We’re looking for a recovery practitioner to support our Gloucester Service.

This role involves holding a mixed caseload and supporting other tasks including assessment, duty and groups in a thriving service. You will make positive changes in people’s lives through a non‑judgmental, recovery‑based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals.

Through joining Via, you will receive a warm welcome, peer support, training, regular supervision and the chance to thrive in a lively and innovative service. The main purpose is to provide excellent quality of care to people who use our service for substance‑use treatment and their complex needs, in partnership with our clinical team, counsellors and other professionals.

You will have an in‑depth knowledge and experience of the challenges affecting people with substance use and related health and wellbeing issues. As part of a dynamic team you will manage a caseload of clients, including prescribing, providing quality interventions at varying stages of recovery, and developing and delivering a wide range of groups.

Duties:

• Managing a mixed caseload of clients, including prescribing and delivering quality interventions.
• Developing and delivering a wide range of recovery groups.
• Supporting other areas of service delivery.
• Participating in special interests and activities that support health and wellbeing, such as smoking cessation and local events.

The Service: Adult Drug and Alcohol Services across Gloucestershire transferred to Via on 1st April 2024. The role is part of Via’s structure and provides a great opportunity to build on existing service strengths, drive new developments and make a positive impact as part of this new contract.
