What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Recovery & Well-being Practitioner for Cheshire West & Chester (Base Chester) to play a vital part in delivering substance misuse treatment and recovery support for individuals with drug and alcohol needs across Cheshire West & Chester.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver excellent drug and alcohol services to people who use our service and their significant others, including family members, friends and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
- Manage a case load and coordinate and deliver assessment and evidence‑based interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning.
- Deliver structured group programmes.
- Provide harm reduction advice, psychosocial interventions, needle & syringe exchanges, blood‑borne virus testing and interventions, drug testing and overdose prevention advice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multi‑disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all Via policies and safeguarding principles.
- Maintain a calm and compassionate approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
