Job Description

Senior Product Manager – AI‑Driven Compensation & Payroll plays a pivotal role in shaping and scaling Vialto Comp’s next‑generation digital compensation and payroll experience. This role drives product strategy and delivery across AI‑enabled solutions that support complex, global compensation and payroll journeys for multinational clients and their mobile workforces. Operating at the intersection of global mobility, compensation, payroll, and applied AI, the role partners closely with engineering, data, design, tax, payroll, equity, and client service teams to intelligently automate complexity, improve accuracy, reduce risk, and deliver predictive, insight‑driven experiences across highly regulated environments. This role contributes directly to the Vialto Comp product suite, positioning AI‑enabled compensation and payroll products as market‑leading platforms that enhance decision‑making, improve compliance, and deliver meaningful efficiency gains for both clients and internal delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery & Operational Ownership

  • Take ownership of defined compensation and payroll product areas or capabilities, operating within an established product vision and strategy.
  • Manage day‑to‑day product execution, ensuring backlog items are clearly defined, prioritised, and delivered to a high standard.
  • Translate operational requirements from payroll, mobility, tax, and client service teams into actionable product features.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet compliance, auditability, and regulatory constraints across jurisdictions.
  • Act as a key point of coordination between product, engineering, and operational delivery teams.

AI & Automation Enablement

  • Partner with engineering and data teams to embed AI‑enabled and rules‑based automation into payroll and compensation processes, such as:
  • Payroll data validation and reconciliation
  • Compensation calculations and reporting support
  • Error detection, exception handling, and workflow orchestration
  • Support the safe adoption of AI by helping define:
  • Operational guardrails and approval workflows
  • Explainability and transparency requirements
  • Human‑in‑the‑loop processes where required

Continuous Improvement & Product Operations

  • Monitor product usage, operational metrics, defects, and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Help define and track operational success measures, such as processing efficiency, error reduction, and cycle‑time improvements.
  • Support response to regulatory change by coordinating product updates with SMEs and delivery teams.
  • Contribute to improving product delivery practices, documentation, and ways of working within the product organisation.

Qualifications / Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or product‑led delivery roles.
  • Experience working on operational, regulated, or data‑intensive platforms, ideally in payroll, compensation, tax, finance, or HR technology.
  • Strong ability to convert operational and regulatory requirements into clearly scoped product work.
  • Experience working with automation and AI‑enabled tools, particularly where accuracy, auditability, and compliance are critical.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Comfortable working within an existing product strategy while improving delivery effectiveness and product quality.
  • We are an equal‑opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status.
  • Please note, AI is used as part of the application process.
