Vialto is looking for a Tax Manager to join its rapidly growing UK private client team focusing on advisory services. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, executives, and internationally mobile private clients on a wide range of complex personal tax matters. Our ideal candidate should have a strong desire to understand the technical aspects of UK private client tax.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of client engagements, varying from high net worth individuals with complex investment structures to more straightforward domestic clients.
  • Provision of written tax advice across a range of areas, including the statutory residence test, inheritance tax planning, the FIG regime, and capital gains tax.
  • Managing and delivering work to a high standard, within agreed deadlines.
  • Reviewing work and coaching and developing junior colleagues.
  • Managing and developing client relationships through business development activities.
  • Staying up to date with changes to tax legislation and best practice and keeping clients informed of any changes.
  • Helping to drive key team initiatives and supporting the development of the wider team.

  • Strong analytical skills and an interest in the technical aspects of private client tax.
  • Provides compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems.

Qualifications

  • The candidate will have practical experience of the areas outlined above with a strong background in UK tax.
  • Certification(s) Preferred: ACA/ATT/CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA).
