In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax processes for employees on international assignments. You will manage the tax implications of global mobility, supporting seamless transitions for employees working across different countries through consulting opportunities. Your primary objective will be to minimize tax-related risks and costs while ensuring that both the organization and its employees remain fully compliant with applicable tax laws.
Responsibilities
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on tax planning, withholding obligations, and social security contributions.
- Partner with Finance and HR teams to ensure accurate payroll tax calculations, reporting and compliance.
- Provide guidance on assignment structures, tax treaty applications and tax-efficient compensation and benefits.
- Educate employees on their tax obligations and the implications of international assignments, including tax equalization and protection policies.
- Analyze compensation and payroll data to calculate tax liabilities and identify optimization opportunities.
- Prepare, review, and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees accurately and within deadlines.
- Prepare supporting applications and documentation to enhance employees’ tax positions and ensure compliance.
- Maintain detailed tax records and documentation to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
- Monitor developments in international tax legislation and assess their impact on clients and assignments.
- Prepare and present tax reports for management, auditors and tax authorities, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Conduct research on country-specific tax matters and collaborate with tax subject matter experts to deliver integrated solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive support and regular updates on engagement progress.
- Manage engagement finances, including billing, collections and KPI tracking.
- Support the implementation of Global Mobility Tax strategies to minimize liabilities for both clients and employees.
- Identify new business opportunities within the existing client base and contribute to portfolio growth.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and monitor market trends to identify areas for expansion.
Qualifications
- University degree in Tax, Accounting, Law or a related field.
- Experience in social security compliance, global mobility or international taxation is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with reporting/dashboard tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and with external partners.
