Vialto is looking for a Tax Manager to join our rapidly growing Private Clients team in the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, executives, and internationally mobile private clients on a wide range of complex personal tax matters. We are looking for an individual with strong UK personal tax experience, particularly in relation to cross-border issues, who is keen to develop and progress in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing client relationships and engagements, delivering tailored advice across a broad range of private client tax matters, supporting team development, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice. The individual should have a strong desire to understand the technical aspects of UK private client tax.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Day-to-day management of a portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, internationally mobile employees, entrepreneurs, and family offices.
- Providing UK personal tax advice across a range of consulting areas, including residence and domicile matters, cross-border taxation, international mobility, income and capital gains tax planning, and remittance basis considerations.
- Managing the delivery of UK personal tax compliance services, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely completion of client work.
- Supporting clients with tax planning in relation to international moves, investments, succession planning, and changing personal circumstances.
- Building strong client relationships through proactive communication and delivering a high standard of client service.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across tax and advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients with complex international needs.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and coaching and developing colleagues within the wider team.
- Contributing to business development initiatives, including identifying opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Staying up to date with evolving tax legislation and best practice, and communicating relevant developments to clients and internal stakeholders.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Experience in UK private client or personal tax, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK personal taxation and international/private client tax matters.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering tax advisory and compliance work.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ATT, or CTA preferred.
