At Via, our mission is to provide the best health and wellbeing support to as many people as possible, helping them to change their lives for the better. Last year, we supported over 11,000 people across the UK affected by alcohol and drug use.

What we’re looking for:

  • Provide parents with one to one and group support to motivate and facilitate their engagement in treatment.
  • Provide high quality, person centred, low threshold services, responding to the individual and diverse needs and preferences of our service users.
  • Carry out triage and comprehensive substance misuse assessments, risk assessments and develop person centred recovery-based care plans.
  • Actively promote and undertake a range of screening and harm reduction interventions including alcohol screening, BBV awareness and Dry Blood Spot Testing, offering harm reduction advice and engaging people through the Needle Syringe Programme.
  • Work with those who use our service to draw up comprehensive recovery plans, support children's social workers with home visits where appropriate, to motivate parents to engage in treatment, providing advice and information about the treatment options available.
  • Deliver evidence-based Parenting and other group interventions as part of a short term treatment plan.
  • Support volunteers, peer mentors and service user representatives to take an active part in the i-access service.
  • Actively promote i-access service users involvement initiatives and the Via Capital Card scheme.
  • Identify risks and take appropriate action in accordance with locally agreed Safeguarding policies.
  • Actively contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings within the FSS and where appropriate within the wider i-access service.
  • Engage in group case supervision and work alongside social workers and other professionals, sharing skills and decision making to deliver responsive support and improve outcomes.
  • Provide reports to Child Protection conferences and court as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using the designated case management systems for both SCC children’s services and i-access substance misuse service, complying with Information Governance and data security policies and procedures.
  • Work flexibly, including across multiple sites and peripathetically as and when required.
