What we’re looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing organisation.
We’re looking for Recovery Practitioner for our Cheshire West and Chester Service.
Within this role, you will play a vital part in delivering substance misuse treatment and recovery support for individuals across Cheshire West & Chester. This is a community-based role which requires daily travel across the borough, including regular travel to rural communities, service hubs, satellite locations and people’s homes.
The successful candidate will undertake assessments, home visits and outreach appointments while travelling across Cheshire West and Chester. You will manage a caseload, ensuring timely and effective support for service users. You will deliver harm reduction advice, psychosocial interventions, and overdose prevention advice.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all Via policies and safeguarding principles. The post holder will also work closely with Via’s Health and Wellbeing Coach, who works across the county, to support joined-up care and improve access to health and wellbeing support for people using the service.

We’re looking for individuals with compassion, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Strong communication skills, empathy and patience are needed for the post holder to providing care to service users who have diagnosed mental illness, have experienced complex trauma, and who experience difficulties engaging with mainstream services.
This role would particularly suit someone with extensive experience in substance misuse services, alongside strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in identifying, assessing and responding to risk.
