This is a senior engineering leadership role within a fast-growing, tech-led consumer platform in a regulated, mission-driven space. You will lead a high-performing engineering team building core web products used by a rapidly expanding customer base. This is a hands-on role combining people leadership, technical decision-making, and close partnership with Product to deliver at pace while building for scale. Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Start date is flexible.
What Youll Be Doing
- Leading a cross-functional team of frontend and backend engineers
- Partnering closely with Product, Design, QA, Data, and business stakeholders
- Acting as the technical counterpart to Product, shaping feasibility and delivery plans
- Translating ideas into shipped, high-quality product features
- Remaining hands-on where it adds value across architecture, delivery, and operations
- Coaching and developing engineers through feedback, growth plans, and clear expectations
- Guiding technical decisions to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability
- Working with other engineering leaders to improve processes and ways of working
What Youll Bring
- 7+ years commercial experience as a software engineer or technical leader
- End-to-end product lifecycle experience in modern engineering environments
- Strong understanding of software architecture, patterns, and testing practices
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams
- Confidence using engineering and business metrics to measure impact
- Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, learning-focused mindset
