A high-growth, private equity-backed FMCG group is appointing a Group Treasurer to take full ownership of treasury across a complex, international platform. This is a genuinely senior role with visibility, autonomy, and influence. You will sit at the heart of the value-creation agenda, shaping capital structure, liquidity strategy, and financial risk management as the business scales through its next phase of growth.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will own treasury end-to-end, operating as the group's senior authority on cash, funding, liquidity, and financial risk. You will work directly with private equity sponsors, lenders, and the executive team, with a clear mandate to professionalise, optimise, and future-proof the treasury function. This is not a maintenance role. It is about building, shaping, and influencing.
What you'll do:
- Own group-wide cash management, liquidity forecasting, and working capital optimisation
- Lead all banking relationships, facilities, and covenant management
- Play a central role in refinancing, debt structuring, and PE-led transaction activity
- Design and embed robust treasury policies, controls, and reporting frameworks
- Manage FX and interest rate exposure across multiple geographies, including hedging strategy
- Partner closely with FP&A, tax, and commercial finance to support decision-making
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and PE investors on capital allocation and cash strategy
What we're looking for:
- Proven group-level treasury experience within FMCG, consumer, or PE-backed environments
- Strong hands-on capability across cash forecasting, debt, FX, and banking
- Experience operating with leveraged balance sheets and investor scrutiny
- Commercial, confident operator able to engage credibly at board and sponsor level
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACT qualified preferred, but not essential
Why this role stands out:
- Genuine ownership of the treasury agenda, not a narrow or transactional remit
- Direct exposure to private equity decision-making and value creation
- High-growth, entrepreneurial environment with real autonomy
- £150,000 base plus bonus and benefits
- Hybrid working with just two days per week in a London office
If you are a senior treasury professional looking for a visible, influential role in a fast-moving, PE-backed business, this is an opportunity worth exploring confidentially.
