Graduate Landscape Architect Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Graduate Landscape Architect to join our Environmental Consultancy team based out of our Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford, Nottingham.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with the design, management and delivery of landscape design, urban design and environmental improvement projects to achieve quality, programme and financial targets.
- Assist in the provision of specialist landscape design and technical support to colleagues in the delivery of projects.
- Support the undertaking of technical reports including feasibility studies on behalf of clients to inform project development.
- Assist colleagues with the delivery and evaluation of Landscape & Visual Impact and Landscape Character Assessments as part of planning process, to achieve compliance with legislation and national/local policies.
- Assist with the production of a range of environmental assessments such as Environmental Impact Assessments, to support the development and delivery of large scale and complex projects for clients.
- Provide specialist IT support to colleagues to support delivery of projects, including a working knowledge of AutoCad /GIS software packages and Visualisation software packages.
- Assist in consultation, communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members to facilitate project delivery and maintain a positive company reputation.
What we’re seeking:
- Relevant degree and registration as graduate member of the Landscape Institute or equivalent experience sufficient for registration.
- Strong ICT skills including competence in specialist computer applications used to support landscape, planning, design and management activities including working knowledge of current CAD, GIS and visualisation software packages.
- Aware of design standards and sustainability principles appropriate to landscape design, environmental improvement schemes and land management plans.
- Aware of procurement practices used in design and construction.
- Aware of health and safety, technical, planning and other legislation and good practice appropriate to hard/soft landscape projects and landscape planning.
- Ability to provide technical support to complex and/or significantly scaled landscape projects.
- Proven ability to write technical reports to a high standard.
