Project Engineer
Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure Design team based out of our Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford.

What you’ll do:
- Design and manage the delivery of highway and civil engineering projects to achieve quality, programme and financial targets.
- Provide specialist design, technical and cost advice to colleagues, clients or external bodies to support delivery of projects.
- Manage the evaluation and authorisation of externally designed engineering schemes on behalf of clients to ensure highway network asset meets regional and national design specification and safety standards.
- Collaborate with Via’s Construction and Commercial Division to manage workflow there by achieving company business plan objectives.
- Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members.
What we’re seeking:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in a highway and/or civil engineering design environment.
- Strong ICT skills including competence in specialist computer applications used to support highway design and civil engineering activities.
- Working knowledge of current highway design and civil engineering standards, contracts, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of health and safety, technical, traffic management and other legislation and good practice appropriate to highway and civil engineering construction and maintenance activities.
- Experience of all stages of project implementation from feasibility to construction on site.
