Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Maintenance Foreman to join our Maintenance Delivery team based out of our Blyth Depot.

What you’ll do:
- Undertake maintenance works and supervise operatives on site.
- Deal with day-to-day issues as they arise and liaise with Contract Agent to ensure all KPI’s are met by completing works on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Understand documentation and specifications associated with highway maintenance works.
- Be responsible for the efficient ordering, control and utilisation of materials, plant and vehicles to allow works to be completed.
- Manage, coach, and develop your team members to support individuals to achieve their potential and deliver effective business results.
- Ensure Compliance with all routine daily checks of vehicles and plant are undertaken recording to legal requirements and reporting any damages or defects found.
- Responsibility for all plant, equipment, vehicles and materials allocated to your team, ensuring their correct use and avoiding any unnecessary damage.
- To manage and control the quality of works delivered by those under your control, including the control of waste, working towards ISO 9001 and 14001 expectations as requested by the client.
What we’re seeking:
- NVQ level 3 in Construction or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience of Highway associated works.
- Hold Industry recognised qualifications, New Roads and Street Works Act, First Aid, SSSTS and Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Knowledge of Construction Plant and materials associated with Highway Maintenance Works.
- Understanding of drivers’ regulations, vehicle checks, tachographs, basic vehicle maintenance, loading and securing.
- Full current driving licence. (Cat C + E desirable)
