Via East Midlands are currently seeking a part time Technical Assistant to join our Construction Delivery team based out of our Bilsthorpe Depot. This role is part time at 25 hours per week for 6 months.

What you’ll do:

  • Undertake administrative tasks on behalf of the Drainage and Road Markings Team to contribute to the delivery of the services.
  • Respond to queries in person or over the phone from internal and external customers to provide timely information.
  • Input and manage data in generic and Via specific IT systems on behalf of operational teams to support performance management.
  • Control and monitor the use of specific resources by colleagues at the depots to ensure cost and quality control.
  • Gather and process data from all areas of the business to meet H&S legislation, Environmental legislation and ISO requirements.
  • Plan and prioritise work to meet operational deadlines to facilitate service delivery.

What we’re seeking:

  • Knowledge gained through practical experience in an administrative or customer service environment.
  • Strong ICT skills with experience of using applications including Microsoft Word and Excel, email and the internet.
  • Experience of providing information to, and dealing with, internal and external customers in person or via email or over the phone.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise workload and react to customer queries in a busy office environment.
  • Flexibility to learn new skills and a look for continuous improvement of service delivery.
