Road Works Coordinator
Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Road Works Coordinator to join our Street Works & Road Works team based out of our Bilsthorpe Head Office.

What you’ll do:
- Assist the Senior Road Works Coordinator in the coordination of temporary activities on the highway to ensure that traffic disruption is minimised
- Process Permit Applications and related information to ensure that all applications are considered within prescribed timescales and escape complex matters to senior staff
- Evaluate and assess Traffic Management proposals to ensure that they are the most appropriate for the situation and will allow the work to be carried out safely whilst still having the least practicable impact on the Network
- Help in identifying any issues with the Street Works Register and associated information and take the necessary action to correct the information so that the Network can be manged effectively
- Contribute to the review and evaluation of the work of the section and make any suggestions to its overall improvement to help maintain the Network
- Ensure that safety is always fully considered so that workers, and the travelling public are not put at risk
- Assist in the preparation of any necessary technical reports that are required for the operation of the Permit Scheme to support performance reporting
What we’re seeking:
- Grade C GCSE or higher in English and Maths or equivalent ability demonstrated through practical experience
- Experience of the street works and road works environment and of co-ordinating or managing activities on the highway network
- ICT skills with experience of using applications including Microsoft Word and Excel, email and the internet
- Awareness of current legislation, policies and procedures applicable to street works and road works
- Current Full UK Driving Licence
