Job Overview
Provide technical support and maintenance of desktop and mobile devices and software to deliver service excellence to Via IT users.
Organise the configuration, delivery and installation of hardware and software to Via IT users.
Assist in the delivery of small and medium‑size IT projects on the company’s network infrastructure and desktop estate.
Provide informal training and coaching to Via IT users to assist them in learning current and new systems.
Evaluate, test and recommend software and hardware for use in the company to increase the efficiency of systems and productivity within the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and maintenance of desktop and mobile devices and software.
- Organise the configuration, delivery and installation of hardware and software.
- Assist in delivering small and medium‑size IT projects on the network infrastructure and desktop estate.
- Provide informal training and coaching to users.
- Evaluate, test and recommend software and hardware.
- Ensure Via IT security standards are adhered to and incidents are managed using security practices.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the IT security perimeter and identify new attack vectors.
Qualifications
- A Microsoft Associate‑level qualification or equivalent desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity experience in a multi‑site environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and understanding of service desk operations.
- Excellent hardware and software problem‑solving skills, particularly with desktops, laptops, network hardware and Office365.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and confidence to liaise with 3rd‑party suppliers.
- A full UK driver’s licence and ability to travel to cover multiple sites.
