Drainage Assets Supervisor

Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Drainage Assets Supervisor to join our Construction Delivery Team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise a team carrying out drainage inspections and repairs, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and standards.
  • Lead on drainage matters, working with stakeholders and partners to maintain a safe, compliant network.
  • Support the management and development of drainage asset strategies and innovative drainage solutions.
  • Deliver drainage projects and minor schemes on time, within budget and to required standards.
  • Monitor drainage budgets and manage cost recovery for third-party damage to assets.
  • Use engineering judgement to resolve complex drainage issues and highway emergencies.
  • Promote and manage Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across the service.
  • Identify and support business opportunities to deliver cost-effective flooding and drainage solutions.

What we’re seeking:

  • Experience in highways or civil engineering, supported by ongoing professional development.
  • Sound knowledge of drainage, asset management and relevant legislation.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills within a regulatory framework.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to represent the organisation when required.
  • Ability to develop and improve policies and procedures in line with regulations.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead individuals and teams to achieve results in changing environments.
