Depot Maintenance Operative
Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Depot Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities Team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe but required to travel across our depots.

What you’ll do:
- Carry out repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to a high standard.
- Conduct compliance and depot checks, reporting and addressing non-conformance issues.
- Identify repair needs and materials required, escalating priorities to management.
- Induct contractors and subcontractors, ensuring risk assessments and method statements are in place.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental requirements, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Operate vehicles, plant, tools and equipment correctly, completing checks and reporting defects.
- Maintain professional conduct and uphold the company's reputation.
- Complete required paperwork, controlled documents and dynamic risk assessments in line with company procedures.
What we’re seeking:
- Experience working in a maintenance environment
- Ideally hold a Cat C driving licence and Driver CPC.
- Knowledge of building compliance checks and legal/environmental requirements.
- Ability to operate maintenance plant and equipment.
- Able to identify maintenance issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Competent in record keeping and completing risk assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently, as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, including PPE and manual handling.
