We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Manager to join our growing team. This position is integral to fostering a strong and compliant safety culture across all operations, with a specific focus on Part 145 Safety Management Systems. The ideal candidate will proactively manage and continuously improve safety programs, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with Part 145 regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance with EASA/FAA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
- Research and incorporate best practices to promote a proactive and inclusive safety culture across diverse teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries.
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs tailored to a variety of learning styles and backgrounds.
- Facilitate regular safety committee meetings to encourage open dialogue and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain safety performance metrics and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Foster a work environment that values equality, inclusion, and respect to ensure all employees feel empowered to prioritise safety in their roles.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Aviation Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Part 145 regulations and practices.
- Proven experience in leading Safety Management Systems (SMS), preferably in an aviation or maintenance environment.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in safety software, tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an aerospace or aviation environment.
