What’s in it for you?

  • Hourly Rate: From £19.26 per hour (negotiable DOE)

  • Holidays: 30 days (including a full Christmas shutdown)
  • Pension: 4% employer / 4% employee contribution
  • Clean, well-organised machine shop with a supportive team culture

The Role:

  • Program, set and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc) for low-volume, high-precision production.
  • Machine critical components used in Oil & Gas applications.
  • Work with exotic materials including Duplex and high-temp alloys.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances.
  • Conduct in-process inspection using measurement equipment.
  • Liaise with engineering and production teams to meet targets and maintain workflow.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and support continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven background as a CNC Machinist (Turner) – minimum 3+ years.
  • Confident programming, setting, and operating lathes with Fanuc controls.
  • Experience working to precision tolerances (within 0.025mm).
  • Familiarity with steels, stainless, Duplex, and exotic alloys.
  • A quality-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas or similar high-integrity sectors is beneficial.
