Reporting To: Sales Director / Technical Director

Role Overview

We are looking for a technically strong and commercially focused LV Specification Sales Engineer. You will connect engineering solutions with clients such as consultants, contractors, and end-users. Your goal is to win new projects, influence specifications early, and secure orders for custom LV switchboards and motor control centres (MCCs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Specification Influence: Work with M&E consultants to ensure products are specified as preferred solutions.
  • Business Development: Identify and track projects across sectors such as data centres, healthcare, and transport.
  • Technical Support: Deliver site surveys and presentations explaining technical solutions and BEMS integration.
  • Tender Management: Support internal teams to prepare accurate and competitive proposals.
  • Client Relationships: Build and manage relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors using CRM tools.
  • Market Awareness: Keep up to date with competitors and UK standards (BS EN 61439).

Candidate Requirements

  • Electrical engineering qualification (HNC/HND or Degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of LV switchgear and control systems.
  • Experience in technical sales or business development in the UK electrical sector.
  • Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage own schedule.
  • Experience with CRM and Microsoft Office; CAD/BIM knowledge is an advantage.
