A growing precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Turner / Setter to join a modern machining facility. You will produce high-precision components from exotic materials for industries where quality and accuracy are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, program and operate CNC lathes
- Read, edit, and optimise FANUC programs
- Generate programs using One CNC / CAD-CAM
- Machine complex components from engineering drawings
- Work with exotic alloys (Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, Duplex, Super Duplex)
- Use fixed and travelling steadies on components up to 5 metres
- Perform dimensional inspection using standard measuring equipment
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Time-served CNC Turner (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong experience with FANUC programming
- Proven track record machining exotic metals
- Experience using fixed and travelling steadies
- Ability to work to tight tolerances from engineering drawings
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with One CNC software
- Background in precision engineering or high-spec industries
