A growing high voltage (HV) engineering contractor is seeking experienced Senior Authorised Persons (SAP) authorised up to 66kV. This is a hands-on operational role supporting switching, commissioning, and energisation on major UK power projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out HV switching and network operations up to 66kV
- Issue and control safety documents (PTW, SFT, LOA)
- Support commissioning and energisation activities
- Take operational control of HV systems and substations
- Work closely with project and engineering teams
Typical Projects
- ~33kV and 66kV substations
- ~Network upgrades and reinforcement
- ~New connections and commissioning works
- ~Distribution network operations
Requirements
- Current or previous SAP authorisation up to 66kV (or strong 33kV candidates ready to step up)
- Experience in DNO, IDNO, ICP, or HV contracting environments
- Good understanding of DNO-style safety rules
- Strong knowledge of HV operations and switching procedures
- Ability to work on-site across different UK locations
