Energy Efficiency Sales Engineer (Data Centre & Commercial Specialist)
Location: UK & Ireland (75% London travel, 25% UK-wide)

Role Summary
We are recruiting an experienced Energy Efficiency Sales Engineer to drive specification and sales growth for advanced energy efficiency, power quality, and energy monitoring solutions across the UK and Ireland. The role focuses on Data Centre (Colocation & Enterprise) and Commercial & Industrial markets, combining technical expertise with commercial account development.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure product and system specifications with M&E consultants, design offices, contractors, and end-users.
- Deliver CPD and Lunch & Learn presentations on power quality, energy monitoring, and energy efficiency regulations.
- Develop and manage relationships with systems integrators, panel builders, and key channel partners.
- Prepare technical quotations and tender submissions based on specifications, schematics, and site surveys.
- Track major data centre opportunities and support regional sales teams with technical and commercial expertise.
- Conduct customer audits and demonstrate ROI through energy monitoring and efficiency assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' technical sales experience in energy management, metering, measurement, or power quality solutions.
- Proven success selling into Data Centre (Colo/Enterprise) and Commercial & Industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, power distribution, industrial communications, BMS/SCADA, or IT integration.
- Excellent presentation, relationship-building, and commercial skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering.
- Experience working with consultants, switchboard builders, and systems integrators.
