An opportunity to lead a specialist thermal spray and coating operation serving Aerospace, Gas Turbine, Power Generation, Defence and Industrial sectors. This role combines technical expertise with operational leadership, driving quality, output and continuous improvement across a high-performing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Thermal Spray and Coating operations
- Manage production output, quality and delivery performance
- Develop, validate and approve coating procedures and spray parameters
- Drive process improvement and operational efficiency
- Lead process qualification and first article activities
- Oversee laboratory testing and coating inspection
- Manage technician training, competency and development
- Review customer specifications and support technical discussions
- Support audits and ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in thermal spray technologies (HVOF, Plasma, Arc, Flame or Spray & Fuse)
- Leadership experience within a coating or surface engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and process validation
- Experience supporting audits, customer specifications and technical approvals
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Aerospace MRO, Gas Turbine repair, Defence or Power Generation
- Experience in precision engineering or industrial coatings
