Job Title: CNC Machinist – Night Shift (Part-Time)

Location: West Sussex

We are supporting a leading precision engineering company, known for its work in the motorsport and F1 industries , in hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for their night shift team . This role is part-time (Monday to Thursday) and requires offline CAM programming experience and strong skills with Heidenhain controls .

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Thursday, 40 hours per week

10-hour shifts, start between 4:30 PM and 8:00 AM

Hourly Rate: £18–£20 + £5 per hour night shift allowance

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the standard rate

Holiday: 20 days annual leave

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines for high-precision parts
• Program and optimize using Heidenhain controls
• Use Visi Vero CAM software for offline programming
• Machine advanced materials, including carbon fibre
• Perform quality checks and ensure tight tolerances are met
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve processes
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment

Requirements:

• Strong experience with CNC milling and 5-axis machining
• Skilled in Heidenhain control systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T
• CAM offline programming experience is essential (Visi Vero preferred)
• Previous work on motorsport parts is a plus
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
